WILLIAM WALRATH DIES AT THE HEPBURN HOSPITAL

William Walrath, age 68 years, died at the Hepburn Hospital at Ogdensburg Saturday, January 15th at about 4:40 p.m.
Mr. Walrath was the son of the late Josiah and Nancy House Walrath. He was born March 13, 1869 at Depeyster. His father being killed when he was a small boy when the family moved to DeKalb Junction. On July 4th, 1892, he married Lucy Gordon, who passed away on June 29, 1935.
Mr. Walrath has been ailing for about a year and has been confined to his home since last September with Bright's disease from which he died. On January 11th he was taken to the hospital in the hope of getting help but kept getting weaker until he passed away.
He had been a farmer most of his life, but for the past ten years he has lived with his brother-in-law, Perley Kinnie, of Hermon.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Lula Parrow of Pulaski and Mabel Schofell of Russell, Everett Walrath of DeKalb Junction and Roy Walrath of Russell; two brothers and one sister, Ira Walrath of DeKalb Junction, Josiah Walrath of Hermon, and by Cora Simons now at Hermon and by twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Hermon with Rev. Dollings officiating: burial being in Hermon cemetery.
