William A. Dodd, carpenter-farmer, who has been living in the vicinity of Peterboro and Morrisville for a few years, died very suddenly at Morrisville, Sunday , December 20, 1942, at 10 a.m.
He was taken ill while riding to Morrisville, on a milk truck, from his home, three miles west of Morrisville. He was taken to the office of Dr. L. B. Chase, who ordered him to go to the Burden House, for rest before returning home. He died a few minutes after reaching the hotel.
Dr. Chase said death was due to a heart attack. Dr. Samuel H. Raymond Madison County coroner released the body to the Vaughn Funeral Parlors, where funeral services were held this week Tuesday at 2 p.m. the Rev. Lloyd Shepherd minister of the Morrisville Methodist church officiated with burial in New Woodstock cemetery.
Mr. Dodd was born in Georgetown, 71 years ago, the youngest child of William and Emily Eaton Dodd.
He is survived by his wife Grace Stone Dodd and two brothers, Isaac and Harvey Dodd, both of New Woodstock.
