
William M. Beeman, aged 85 years, died this morning at 4 o'clock at his home, 713 West Dominick street. Death was caused by heart disease. He had been in poor health since last September, but had only been confined in his bed for the last week. He is survived by his wife, whose maiden name was Lyda A. Armstrong and who is critically ill and whose recovery is very doubtful. A daughter, Mrs. A.O. Parkhurst and son, J.E. Beeman, also survive. He was a member of Skillan Post No. 47 G.A.R. having served in the Civil War as a member of the Twenty-sixth New York Light Artillery. He was born in Burn, Squire County, but most of his life had been spent in Rome, where he followed his trade of painter and paperhanger. For two years Mr. Beeman was inspector of paving. No funeral arrangements have yet been completed.
