The many friends of Miss Merle Johnson and William Walrath Waddingham were surprised today to receive cards announcing
their marriage at Thousand Island Park on Monday, June 15.
Miss Johnson is a popular and charming young lady, with many friends in this city as well as in her home town and is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Johnson of Rutland, Vermont.
Mr. Waddingham, whose friends are legion, is connected with the City National bank of Watertown, and is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Waddingham.
Following a wedding trip including Montreal, Quebec and Sauenay and a sojourn at Thousand Island Park, they will be at
home to their friends in this city after Oct. 1.
