Tuesday morning of last week occurred the death of William M. Beeman of Rome and Friday evening occurred the death of his wife, pneumonia being the cause of death. Her condition was such that she was not notified of her husband's death. Her maiden name was Lydia A. Armstrong, daughter of the late Timothy and Catherine Armstrong and she was born in Taberg 79 years ago in March. She married Mr. Beeman 57 years ago in Lowville, when her husband returned from the army. She was a kind and charitable woman, and one who was deeply devoted to her home, husband and children. The children surviving are Mr. O.R. Parkhurst, at whose home she passed away and James S. Beeman, who lives next door to his sister, and two grandchildren, Clarence W. Beeman and Kathryn Parkhurst. The funeral of Mr. Beeman was to have been held Saturday afternoon at the home of the son; but the hour was changed to 3 p.m. Sunday, when the double funeral was held at their home.
