Taberg Sept. 12 -- John Armstrong, aged 80 years, who died at his home in Oneida Tuesday, was a former resident of this place. Mr. Armstrong was born in Vienna, October 2, 1832 and lived there until he was 10 years of age, when he removed with his parents to the town of Annsville, living near Taberg up to about 10 years ago, when he removed to Oneida. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Benjamin Northrup and Mrs. Henry Gaffner, and one son William Armstrong all of Oneida. He also leaves two sisters, Mrs. W. M. Beeman of Rome and Mrs. Charles Tice of Syracuse, and three brothers Nelson Armstrong of Verona, A.W. And R.C. Armstrong of Rome. The funeral was held at his late home in Oneida today.
