Fred Rehm, 85, Born in Paris

Fred F. Rehm, 85, of 3 Hillside Ave., New Hartford, formerly of Washington Mills and former highway superintendent for the Town of New Hartford, died unexpectedly on Feb. 9, 1965 in his home.

Mr. Rehm was born in the Town of Paris where he attended school. He had been a blacksmith in Willowvale until 1921 when he became highway superintendent. he retired in 1950.

In 1902, he married Lorene Burton. She died in 1941.

In past years, he was a frequent visitor in Waterville.

He had owned and operated a kennel in Washington Mills for several years.

Mr. Rehm leaves a sister, Mrs. Loretta Northrup of Waterville.

The funeral was held at 10:30 this morning from the Stevens Funeral Home, New Hartford with the Rev. William B. Schmidgall, rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial took place in Crown Hill Memorial Park.
