Rev. Father Smith at St. Mary's Church rectory Tuesday evening united in marriage Jay Armstrong and Miss Kate Smith, both of Rome. After the ceremony the newly married couple and friends enjoyed a wedding supper at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Smith, on South James street. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong left on the 8:23 for a trip in the east, after which they will take up their residence in Rome. Both are well known and have a large number of friends. The groom for several years has been employed at the county house, and among the many presents received, was a handsome bedroom set from friends at the Rome State Hospital and county house.
