With a nuptial high mass at St. Agnes's Church at 9 o'clock this morning Miss Anna M. Donovan of 1116 Leeds street
became the bride of Jesse F. Armstrong of Rome. The mass was celebrated by the Rev. Alfred J. Hayes, pastor of the church.
The attendants were Miss Helen Scanlon, niece of the bride, and Gerald Donovan, a brother. Musical selections were rendered
during the ceremony by James J. McKenna.
The bride was attired in white crepe de meteor and carried a bouquet of bride's roses. the bridesmaid was similarly
attired.
The groom's present to his best man was a pair of Knights of Columbus cuff links and the bride presented to her maid a
beautiful old ring with a birth stone inset. The bride is a well known young woman, and is the youngest daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Michael Donovan. The groom holds a responsible position with the Rome Wire Works and is a member of the
Rome Lodge of Elks and also the Knights of Columbus council of that city. Both are widely acquainted and will have the best
wishes of hosts of friends for a happy married life.
A wedding breakfast was served at 116 Leeds street, following the ceremony, after which the bridal couple left for a
trip to Buffalo and Niagara Falls. They will be at home to their many friends after September 5 at 200 North James street,
Rome, the home of the groom's parents. They will later occupy a new home that is at present nearing completion.
