
Following a brief illness Anna Stewart Woodworth, a former resident of Chittenango, passed away at her home on Stafford avenue, Syracuse, Tuesday evening. A prayer service was held at the home Thursday morning and the remains brought here for burial in Oakwood at 11 o'clock. Services were conducted at the grave. Rev. J.M. Van Tilburg of Jamesville, former pastor of the Presbyterian Church here, officiated Mrs. Woodworth was born in Chittenango, the daughter of the late Abram and Katherine TenEyck Walrath. She attended the Yates Polytechnic and on October 5, 1892, married Harvey Clinton Woodworth of Binghamton, son of the late Samuel Woodworth of this village. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Woodworth lived here for a time in the house now occupied by Dr. and Mrs. E.F. Bettinger. He died in 1895 and about thirty years ago Mrs. Woodworth and her daughter moved to Syracuse, where they have since made their home. Mrs. Woodworth is survived by her daughter, Katherine Woodworth, and by a sister, Florence Walrath, both of Syracuse. Anna Walrath was a member of the Presbyterian Church here. She was sixty-six years old at the time of her death.
