Mrs. Amelia M. Martin

Word has been received in this city of the death of Mrs. Amelia M. Martin, widow of James B. Martin, in Minneapolis, Minn. which occurred at the home of her son Sunday afternoon at 3:45. Mrs. Martin was 75 years of age. Death was due to pneumonia, with which she was ill two or three weeks. She was formerly of Evans Mills.
Born in the town of Pamelia she moved to Evans Mills with her parents at the age of 12. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walrath. Several years after her marriage she moved west, but has visited Watertown and Evans Mills on numerous occasions, her last visit east being last summer, when she was the guest of her sister, Mrs. Fred Waddingham at 209 Paddock street.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Fred Waddingham, of this city, and one son, George R. martin, comptroller of the Great Northern Railroad, with whom she had made her home in Minneapolis for about 15 years. She is also survived by two grandsons, Attorney Paul W. Martin of Cambridge, Minn., and Hugh W. Martin of St. Paul, Minn. She also had a number of relatives and friends in the vicinity of Evans Mills.
Mrs. Martin was a member of the Olivet Baptist church of Minneapolis and was an active church worker.
