Word has been received here, telling of the death of Mrs. Alice Knapp Walrath, wife of Jesse Walrath, at Portland, Oregon, which occurred Friday, October 21 st. Jesse Walrath was a former resident of this village, being a son of the late Joseph Walrath and his wife was a resident of Syracuse, they have been in Portland 15 years. The deceased had been sick several months with cancer of the stomach. She was 46 years old and is survived by a husband and two children. Much sympathy is expressed here for Mr. Walrath.
